Plugin Manager

Description : Plugin Manager lets you to view, download and install plugins from wordpress.org from an AJAX’ed interface, instead of manually downloading, extracting and uploading each plugin.
Latest Version : 0.7.8
WordPress Versions Supported : 2.5 – 2.6
Latest File Release : 5th March 2009

Installation

  1. Upload the files to the ‘/wp-content/plugins/plugin-manager’ directory
  2. Activate the plugin through the ‘Plugins’ menu in WordPress

How To Update

  1. Deactivate the plugin.
  2. Delete all the files under ‘/wp-content/plugins/plugin-manager’.
  3. Upload new files to ‘/wp-content/plugins/plugin-manager’.
  4. Activate the plugin.

  1. Nice plugin. However, for some reason the search feature takes a long, long time! (Perhaps it’s just my site, but I can’t imagine why.)

  4. Hey i love your plugin, but after the latest wordpress update, it refuses to work. I’ve tried completely deactivating the plugin, removing the files and then reinstalling, but to no avail. It seems to be a javascript error, but from where exactly i don’t know. But maybe i’m the one doing something wrong?

  5. It used to work, but it stopped. It just gets stuck processing. Haven’t even gotten to a search yet. Help! I can’t live without this plugin!

  7. i tested it on 2.8
    it says Failed -Could not copy file and even enables the Activate button ; + on activation says activated but there are no files which it downloaded ; I don’t know if it is because of any permission on server.

    Wud love to see it working in 2.8
    A very good plugin, I Loved it .

  10. Maybe this has been answered but mine stopped working. It goes to the screen but nothing shows up. When this happened before I deactivated some of my installed plugins and it started working again. I’m going to try this again and see if I can jump start it. (BTW I’m running the latest WP installation)

  13. Hi, I always get the message ‘Failed! – Could not copy file’. File/folder permissions for plugin folder and siubfolders/files are 777

  14. Sweet Pluggin!! It worked for a day. It states displaying 1 – 20 of 2387 but nothing is listed in the window. I cleared tmp and cookies I have also tried it in IE, firefox, Chrome and Safari and have got the same result. Please help!! :)

  16. some of the plugins in Plugin Mananger is out of date. Just like FCKeditor. why is that? the data is not from wordpress.org?
